Are there any resources that can guide me when installing PowerCenter 8.5?

The PowerCenter Installation Guide is not included with the software install. Where is the Installation Guide?
The Installation Guide is in the documentation zip file sent as a link in an email message that also contains the link to the installation zip file.

What platforms are supported with PowerCenter 8.5?
PowerCenter 8.5 is available for Windows 32-bit, AIX 64-bit, Solaris 64-bit, RedHat Linux (x86) 64-bit and HP-UX Itanium.Other operating systems will be supported in a forthcoming release of 8.5.

What are the prerequisites and minimum system requirements for installing PowerCenter 8.5?
Complete set of prerequisites and database user requirements are documented under After You Install > Verify Prerequisites in the PowerCenter 8.5 Configuration Guide.

Is an X Window server required for installing on UNIX?
No, X Window server is not required for installing on UNIX. You can install the PowerCenter product in a console mode as well. For more information, refer to the "Installing in Console mode" in the PowerCenter 8.5 Installation Guide.

Do I need to set any environment variables before starting installation?
By default, you do not need any environment variables to be set before starting the installation.If you would like to install PowerCenter in graphical mode and you do not have an X Window server installed on the same machine, you will need to set the DISPLAY environment variable. For more information, refer to Configuring Environment Variables > Before You Install in the PowerCenter 8.5 Installation Guide.

Where can I find my license keys?
If you downloaded the software from the ESD location, license keys are included as part of an email message.
When installing PowerCenter 8.5 Advanced Edition why are there no options for Metadata Manager and Data Analyzer?
Starting with PowerCenter 8.5 AE, Metadata Manager and Data Analyzer are installed automatically.

What do I do if the installation fails?
If the installation program is waiting for the next action, identify and fix the error, click Retry, and then click Next to resume the installation.If you cancel the installation, the installation program may not have copied all the required fields. Rerun the installation using the options you selected previously.

Can I do a silent installation?
You can use silent installation to install the client components of PowerCenter 8.5. Server components cannot be installed in the silent mode.For more information, refer to "PowerCenter Client Installation" chapter of the PowerCenter 8.5 Installation Guide.

What should I do after installation for using PowerCenter?
Installation automatically starts the Informatica Service for you. You can start using the product by going to the Administration Console directly after installation.Administration Console URL: http://:/adminconsole
