Is an X Window server required for installing on UNIX?
No, X Window server is not required for installing on UNIX. You can install the PowerCenter product in a console mode as well. For more information, refer to the "Installing in Console mode" in the PowerCenter 8.5 Installation Guide.
Do I need to set any environment variables before starting installation?
By default, you do not need any environment variables to be set before starting the installation.If you would like to install PowerCenter in graphical mode and you do not have an X Window server installed on the same machine, you will need to set the DISPLAY environment variable. For more information, refer to Configuring Environment Variables > Before You Install in the PowerCenter 8.5 Installation Guide.
Where can I find my license keys?

What do I do if the installation fails?
If the installation program is waiting for the next action, identify and fix the error, click Retry, and then click Next to resume the installation.If you cancel the installation, the installation program may not have copied all the required fields.
